Mrs. Arleen Stewart Cheston
President, Friends of Colombia
Washington, D.C.
Dear Mrs. Cheston,
I would like to take this opportunity to share my thoughts with you after the experience we recently shared in Colombia during the conference “Reconnecting with the People of Colombia.” To begin with, I would like to extend a special recognition to you and to Ned Chalker for the extraordinary job in making this event possible and successful. It was a memorable event that will always remain in our hearts and which many new ideas will stem from.
I want to thank “Friends of Colombia” for your interest, enthusiasm, and
participation during the conference. I received many thank you notes, but it
is Colombians that must acknowledge the immense value and importance of
your visit to Colombia.
It would be of great interest to us to know about your experiences
as you traveled through the different cities and towns of Colombia. This
information will help us come up with new proposals and ideas to strengthen
our relationship and work together in future projects.
Thank you once again for sharing your enthusiasm and passion for
Colombia.
Sincerely,
Carolina Barco
Ambassador of Colombia
